Regīna Rancāne
About
Obtained a Master's degree in agronomy with specialisation in horticulture at Latvia University of Life Sciences. Her master's thesis was developed on an innovative topic in Latvia – turf grass diseases on the golf courses. From 2003 to 2018, she worked at the Latvian Plant Protection Research Centre, conducting tests for the effectiveness of plant protection products, as well as managing and participating in various scientific studies on plant protection. Since 2019, Regina has focused exclusively on research activities in the scientific institute of Latvia University of Life Sciences and Technologies Institute of Plant Protection Research “Agrihorts”. Regina has experience of studies about harmful organisms and limiting them to different crops, but the closest has always been fruit farming. She has particularly focused on exploring, forecasting and developing plant protection recommendations in cooperation with apple growers.
