About

He holds a Master's degree in Biology from the University of Latvia, with specialization in plant physiology and biotechnology, then continued doctoral studies in biology at Daugavpils University. 

Extensive work experience in both scientific institutions (AREI Priekuli Research Center, Daugavpils University, LVMI “Silava”, University of Latvia) working independently or on a specific projects, working also in the private sector in landscape bioengineering, landscaping and areas for tree propagation. 

Joined the Latvia University of Life Sciences and Technologies Institute of Plant Protection Research “Agrihorts” team in 2021. 

He is currently studying for a PhD at the VMU Agriculture Academy in Lithuania. 

The main his research areas are plant physiology, remote monitoring systems for crop diseases, the latest technological solutions in agriculture, Fusarium spp. identification and prevalence in cereals and analyses of the botanical composition of pollen. 

He is the author or co-author of peer-reviewed publications indexed in SCOPUS, with an h-index of 3.
